We feel responsible for future generations. We are committed to the careful use of natural resources. We strive to comply with applicable legislative provisions and regulatory requirements. We seek to continuously improve our environmental performance, minimizing the impact of our home.
We are equipped with special containers for the separate collection of paper, glass, wet, plastic and dry waste.
Guests are made aware of the importance of correct practices, so that waste can be sent for disposal or recycling. Furthermore, in the tourist information they will be able to consult the list of public transport to travel in a sustainable way, as far as possible.
The internal and external lighting is energy saving. Most of the materials used for furnishings are natural or sustainable. To minimize plastic, personal detergents are stored in glass bottles.
The grass is mowed using a "mulching cut". The grass is reduced into fine particles that are distributed on the soil, providing precious substances that nourish the lawn, eliminating the need for chemical fertilizers. They also contain water and create a moist layer, reducing the need for irrigation. Mulching improves the soil and root zone, helping to prevent drying out.
We use the pruning waste to make new cuttings. Or we transform them into mulch to maintain adequate humidity and protect the plants in the flowerbeds from the cold.
Guests can collect bunches of sweet sage and plant them in their homes to promote the well-being of bees and hummingbirds.
The passion for DIY stimulates our creativity to give new life to recycled or old-fashioned materials. Some examples are the labyrinth made with tiles and flowerbed tiles, both recovered from the renovation of the father's house.
